The Early Childhood Development Association believes in partnering with families, community, business, policy makers and government to ensure positive outcomes and healthy child development for PEI's youngest children.
In recognizing the value of community partnerships and collegial unity the Association is pleased to provide a variety of membership options for your participation. Membership with the Early Childhood Development Association is open to any person involved or interested in early childhood development in Prince Edward Island although active voting privileges lie with provincially certified early childhood educators, your participation is welcome.
Professional Membership: any person certified as an early childhood educator under the provincial early childhood development certification program and is, at the time of application, practicing within the

$100.00 late fee added after September 10 of $20.00
Early Childhood Assistant: any person not certified under the provincial certification program and is, at the time of application, working within the licensed
Benefits include: reduced conference rates.
$90.00 late fee added after September 10 of $20.00
Associate Member: any person, or member of a community agency supportive of the ECDA’s mission and goals and not eligible for membership under any other membership categories (this may include parents, retirees, and ece’s during times of unemployment)

Student Member: any person enrolled in an educational program more then 60% of a full time program.
Benefits include: reduced conference rates.
$30.00
Lifetime member: as assigned by the Board of Directors
Benefits include: the same as the professional member
Early Childhood Development Centre Member: any licensed child care facility;
Benefits include: Liability insurance program.
Type 1: $100.00 Type 2: $60.00
Corporate Member: any businesses that provide services that would enhance either the early childhood development service, business or the early childhood educator.
Benefits include: logo on website and within the ECDA Newsletter

There are two types of centre memberships - Type I and Type II
Type I include: Kindergartens and Child Care Centres
Type II include: School Age Centres, Family Day Care Centres.
