The PEI Early Learning and Child Care Registry
provides families with a powerful tool to
search and sign-up for regulated child care
and early learning programs across PEI.

The PEI Early Learning and Child Care Registry provides you the opportunity to easily access the waiting lists of licensed early learning and child care programs across PEI. Depending on the age group and geographic location for which you are seeking services, some wait lists are long. To optimize your family's chances of accessing a service in the time frame you desire, it is strongly recommended that you start the registration process as early as possible, and register with multiple centres. Please note that the service being provided is a wait list, and will not guarantee a space in a licensed Early Learning and Child Care program if one does not become available.

The PEI Early Learning and Child Care Registry is a Preschool Excellence Initiative; a Government movement to develop an integrated early learning system on PEI founded on the belief that our youngest Islanders deserve the strongest start possible and that government has a societal responsibility to provide all Island children with access to high quality early learning opportunities.

The PEI Early Learning and Child Care Registry is not intended to replace personal visits and tours of regulated centres. Parents are encouraged to make a visit to the centres of their choice.

Take along the ECDA Guide to Quality Child Care for tips on what to look for and questions to ask.
